Kyuden Deni Kai was a relatively small outpost in the Dragon Heart Plain, but its purpose was important. The keep existed thanks to an Imperial mandate permitted the Lion to maintain it in order to ensure the Lion-Dragon's borders, and the route to Toshi Ranbo. [1] It was constructed a little before 1070 when a shambling horror unleashed from the ruins of Shiro Chuda crossed the border of the Lion Clan. [2]
War of Dark Fire[]
In 1171 a patrol of the yobanjin Army of Fire marched toward the keep. It was defeated by the Lion garrison led by Akodo Tadatoshi. The Kakita swordsmiths forged a sword in their honor, to forever be used in its defense. [1]
