Kyoichi was the ronin leader of a band of Lotus Sect Kolat who lived in a small monastery in the mountains near Fukurokujin Mura. He was a sensei of his sect techniques, and maintained a dojo where he trained Kolat Assassins who used to practice their techniques in the village. Since the arrival of the magistrate Kitsuki Iweko to the village Kyoichi limited his activities. [1]
