Kuni Chojun was a Kuni Witch Hunter of the Crab Clan. In 956 he was traveling in the Spine of the World Mountains when he was aware of supai activities, with the result of travelers dying, by a Bayushi ronin. Chojun joined a ronin group and took shelter in an inn, run by a woman so stoop and wizened she seemed two hundred and ninety years old. Chojun exposed the woman as a Dokufu, a shapeshifting mountainous spider, who fled to her cave. Alongside the ronin group Chojun tracked down the monster and destroyed her. [1]
