Kuni Ariko was a powerful and highly respected Kuni Witch Hunter. She had trained sixteen other Witch Hunters, and she was one of the few in recent memory who had been allowed to have two students at once, by special permission from Kuni Tansho.
Ariko was a very harsh teacher and had banished three students. Only once had one of her students dabled in maho. His ashes sat in his hollowed-out skull on her desk. [1]
