Kitsuki Provinces

From L5r: Legend of the Five Rings

The Kitsuki Provinces, also known as the Gateway to the Wall, contains most of the smallest peaks in the Great Wall of the North mountains and several twisting valleys making it easily confusing to visitors. These lands are also the home of most of the Dragon Clan's gold mines, producing the majority of it's wealth. A lot of goats are herded throughout these lands, ands as such the population is concentrated mainly in mining towns and shepperding villages. The lands themselves are sparsely populated, and it's people are quiet and withdrawn preferring solitude to visitors. The magistrates of these provinces are all Kitsuki, and most Kitsuki Magistrates serve here initially as an "initiation" period. Shiro Kitsuki sits in the north of these lands, and contains the diplomatic core of the Clan. It is also the centre of law within the Dragon, and any Dragon accused of a crime stands trial here. Even the peasantry of the Kitsuki provinces are well versed in the Tao and the law.[1]
