Kaagi was originally born a Matsu, but he joined the Kitsuki after his father died of poisoning. Believing the cause of death to be the mysterious ninja, Kaagi spent his whole life dedicated to finding out about that secret organization of assassins.[1]
[edit] The Rescue of Ninube
Kaagi was the last magistrate to heed to the call of Isawa Ujina when his bride to be, Doji Ninube disappeared on her way to the marriage ceremony. Together, they managed to find her and bring her back to the Phoenix lands.[2]
[edit] Kaagi and the Lying Darkness
Through his investigations over the years, Kaagi became all too aware of the Lying Darkness. All the while, he compiled a journal of his experiences and findings. He eventually became aware that the Shadow was taking over his mind and body, so he dispatched his eta servant to carry his journal to the Kitsuki Daimyo of the time, Kitsuki Yasu. The servant was the last person to see Kaagi until his mysterious return years later. [3][4][5]
