Kitsu Tanoyame was an elederly shugenja of the Lion Clan who tended the Akodo Hall of Ancestors.

Demeanor Edit

Tanoyame was brusque, antisocial, bitter, and frequently rude to the Temple's visitors. He was calmed between the silent statues and respected much them. His attitude prevented him to raise between the Kitsu family. ^[1]

Test of the Jade Championship Edit

The Imperial families had called the Test of the Jade Champion and Tanoyame met Kitsu Ineko, her yojimbo Ikoma Tatsunori, and the Kitsu Daimyo Kitsu Katsuko. Tanoyame believed he was too old to adequately serve as the Jade Champion, but Katsuko dismished his refusal. The three shugenja would compete for the mantle. ^[2]
