Kitsu Katsuko took command of the Kitsu family after the untimely death of her father and predecessor, Kitsu Juri. (Worthy Souls) Though skilled, she does not appear to be quite as good a courtier as Juri had been. She is currently trying to have a Kitsu Shugenja fostered to the Isawa family for training. ([1])

[edit] The Khan's Assault
Matsu Yoshino sought the advice of Katsuko in 1169 when it appeared the Unicorn army was fleeing away from the capital. Katsuko was stationed in Rengai Mura coordinating re-supplying the armies.([2])
[edit] The Spirit of Matsu
In 1170, Katsuko was visiting Yomi, only to be confronted by the spirit of Matsu herself. At the Thunder's bidding, she summoned the Matsu Daimyo, Matsu Kenji, and the hero Matsu Benika to the Hall of Ancestors. Channelling the Thunder, Matsu offered mild praise to the samurai-ko for their deeds, though warned her against complacency. She then warned them of the coming upheaval in the heavens and the soon to be dooms of Lord Sun and Lady Moon.[1]
[edit] Death
Katsuko was killed in 1170 in the wave of assassinations sent by Daigotsu.[2] She was succeeded by her eldest daughter, Kitsu Kiyoko.[citation needed]
