Kiriai commanded the guardmen of a gold shipment from Shiro Kitsuki to Toi Koku. The caravan was assaulted, his men killed and the gold stolen, while Kiriai hid when the outcome was evident. Ashamed of his dishonor he left his family and vowed to track down those he had let escape.
Joining the Wolf Legion Edit
Kiriai eventually managed to slay the group of bandits. Seeking a purpose he met Saigorei, hero of the Battle of Oblivion's Gate and leader of the Wolf Legion. The two became fast friends and when the Wolf Legion moved to the Dragon Kiriai was their contact in Nanashi Mura, a place where he would raise his son Giretsu.
Chasing his Son Edit
Giretsu left his father and joined the bandit gang Knives of Yugoro, who attacked merchants traveling from Toi Koku to Nanashi Mura, and several of them were brutally murdered alongside with their ronin guardsmen. Kiriai would commit seppuku if the nature of his son's actions was disclosed publicly. In 1160 he appointed a group of wandering samurai, who acted with compassion and discretion.
