People

Akodo Katai was a samurai-ko of the Lion Clan who followed the disgraced Matsu Mochihime becoming the ronin Katai. Later she was granted to form a Vassal family of the Akodo, becoming Akodo Katai of House Katai.

Ronin Edit

Katai was one of the followers of Matsu Mochihime, the Matsu Daimyo. Mochihime in 391 confronted the Emperor Hantei Fujiwa himself during the raise of the Gozoku and was cast out taking the name Mochiko. Katai was part of the group who followed her and became the ronin Katai and Mochiko's lieutenant. [1]

Leaderless Edit

After the fall of the Gozoku in 435 the Empress Hantei Yugozohime allowed Mochiko to rejoin the Lion as Matsu Mochiko. Katai led the ronin and moved them near the Lion lands. [1]

Katai family Edit

In 438 Matsu Mochiko won the Test of the Emerald Champion [2] and the Katai's group was investigated by the Ikoma. They saw a threat to the Clan if the past of Mochiko would be surfaced, the Daimyo who defied an Emperor, so they decided to nip the potential for rumor. Katai was granted with her own family, the Katai family, a Vassal family of the Akodo, and sent to the remote Rengai Mura, where they owned the Brick Keep. Their duty was to oversee the forest known as Kokoro Nezuban Mori. [1]
