Kasuga Aizawa, nicknamed the Razor's Edge, was an entrepreneur of the Tortoise Clan who lived in the last years of the 12th century, as ambassador of the Alliance of Minor Clans [1] to the Crab Clan. [2]

Merchant Edit

Aizawa was skilled with commerce and the owner a ship, The Razor's Edge. [3]

Early Career Edit

Some time after his gempukku Aizawa became involved in the Tortoise Clan's smuggling activities. During one such operation the ship he was on was captured by a Crab patrol. Aizawa proved his skill as a negotiator by arranging for himself to be the sole officer remaining on the vessel.

The Crab found it beneficial to have a Tortoise indebted to them and the Tortoise found him to be a useful go between in their dealings with the Crab. Aizawa was able to manipulate the situation to his own benefit. The arrangement eventually evolved into Aizawa serving as the Minor Clan Alliance's representative to the Crab Clan.

Winter Court - 1199 Edit

In 1199 Aizawa attended Imperial winter court at Toshi Ranbo as a member of the Crab delegation. He was chosen to serve as Karo to Crab Delegation Head Yasuki Tono and as the Crab's representative to the Imperial Families.

Prior to the start of court Aizawa approached the Imperial Families with a proposition for the formation of an Imperial Navy and throughout court he was instrumental in the negotiations that eventually led to the idea being approved by the Throne.

Eventually he settled a difference with Daigotsu Kurogane, who was defeated and killed by his champion, Hiruma Tetsuya. [4]

Death Edit

Aizawa and Daigotsu Atsushi wished to settle their disputes over a duel. The Spider proved his worthy killing his new champion, Yasuki Kyoko. Aizawa committed seppuku immediately following the duel. [5]
