Jubal the Knife was an Ebonite. He had bad temper and ferocity. His tutor believed he would never pass the Test of the Ebon Stone. [1]

When an the army of the Erba'a Alliance moved against Medinaat al-Salaam to begin the Shattering of the Jewel, Jubal went to the Bazaar to rally the citizens against the assaulters. [2]
