Jikoju was one of the Guardians of the Four Winds, the Fortune of the East Wind. [1] He was generally
benevolent and favored among farmers. [2] Because the east wind blowed from the seas of Rokugan, it was considered a thing of exoticism and mystery, bearing the unknown from whatever lands laid across the seas. [3] He was favored by the Tribe of Jikoju, who considered Jikoju was superior to all other Fortunes. [4]
