Nemuranai |
Gohuri's Jade Goblet was a nemuranai in the shape of a jade goblet which remained a mistery. The cup drained the water, which vanished as quickly as it was poured, and no solid matter could be placed into the bowl at all. The Emperor ordered to build a small shrine at Otosan Uchi where the artifact was housed, which was the purpose of many pilgrimages. Its first wielder and most probably its crafter was Gohuri. [1] In the 12th century it was storaged in the Great Study beneath Shiro Mirumoto. [2]
