Nashaar was an Ashalan who traveled to Rokugan and joined the Unicorn Clan, becoming Iuchi Yoru.
Ashalan[]
Nashaar was born in the Burning Sands after the Day of Wrath, in the last part of the 4th century. He was a member of the Indaya, the Ashalan's ancestral royalty, and his preferred weapon was the mystical crysteel Khadja. [1]
Rokugan[]
4th Avatar[]
In the 11th century the Ra'Shari Bone-Readers predicted a woman would be born in the next generation of Rokugan's children to become a Bahiya, the 4th avatar. Nashaar guided a couple of gypsies with their son, Ma'rhadi. [2]
Naga[]
They moved near the Shadowlands and entered Rokugan crossing the Plains Above Evil, where a pack of ancient enemy of the Ashalan, the Naga, descended upon the group, fatally wounded the two adults before they could flee. They crossed the River of the Unexpected Hero and entering the Spine of the World Mountains alone. [1]
Unicorn Clan[]
The gaijin proved their worthy and they were eventually accepted by the Unicorn, performing the Blood Rite according their laws of adoption. Nashaar took the name of Yoru, joining the Iuchi, and the boy was named Moto Kagibe. [1]
Iuchi shugenja[]
Yoru abandoned his gaijin magic, and he was fascinated by the Rokugani pantheon of Fortunes, ancestors, and the like. He married to Shinjo Rikei and became one of the Iuchi's chief researchers. [1]
