People

Iuchi Yogosha was a meishodo shugenja of the Unicorn Clan.

Elemental Nemuranais[]

Yogosha was guided to the Northern Mountains of the Phoenix by the Oracle of Air, [2] who in 1127 appeared him through his dreams. The Elemental Dragons had returned to the Heavens, for the celestial balance had been disturbed. The Black Scrolls were being opened, and the Dark Oracles had crafted abominations, Elemental Terrors that should not exist. To restore the balance mortals had to craft the Elemental Nemuranai. He participated in their creation alongside the Phoenix Asako Shingon. [3] They found the correct place in a valley near the Castle of the Faithful Bride. [4]

Crafting[]

For months they sought out the perfect location for each Elemental Weapon to be crafted. [5] They found the correct place in a valley near the Castle of the Faithful Bride. [4] For days, Shingon coaxed the kami to occupy the item, slowly infusing it with the essence of an element. Then Yogosha would use his knowledge of Meishodo to erode the object's true name while Shingon contained the kami. The two worked in tandem to craft a katana, a set of armor, a gunsen, a yari, and the last, a mempo, the one of the Void element. [6]

Death[]

To finish the creation of the last nemuranai, they both concluded they would have to give their lives. With that sacrifice the balance was restored between dark, the Elemental Terrors, and light, the Elemental Nemuranai. [2] [4]

We give our lives that this final task might be completed. Our spirits join with the Void contained within it, giving it form. It is a good death.
