Moto Curse[]
Karuri studied the Moto Curse and confirmed that the Moto blood drew ill fortune. The leader of the Khol Moto Tadasu had invaded Phoenix lands in retribution for exposing the Moto were a spiritual threat to the Empire. In 1200 Karuri moved to Tadasu's camp to advise him that he would not win the day against the Phoenix, but she was dismissed. Karuri gifted a golden fan to Moto Kyung-won, Tadasu's hatamoto, advising him to return with her Phoenix wife, who he had left due to the strife between both clans. The next day the Unicorn lost the battle due to missfortune and accepted the terms of peace which would defeat the Moto Curse, a way of living that might free the Moto of their karma. [1]
