Isawa Nimuro was a legendary go master of the Phoenix Clan.
Go Invention[]
Isawa Nimuro was a contemporary of Sun Tao, and hosted the general during his stay with the Phoenix Clan. Nimuro learned much from Sun Tao, and though he was not a warlike man he applied those lessons in a typical Phoenix manner. Nimuro invented the game of Go. [1]
Legacy[]
In the 12th century the heir of the Matsu family took his name from Isawa Nimuro, a bushi who would be the Lion Clan Champion, Matsu Nimuro. [2]
