Isawa Jirichi was a shugenja of the Phoenix Clan in the earliest days of Rokugan. He had a border dispute with the Kakita Daimyo Kakita Renshu and negotiations began. Kakita Iwasaki, the diplomat who led the Crane delegation, seemed that had gained insight into the Phoenix's motivations and strategies. Finally, Jirichi relented and new clan borders were created that strongly favored the Crane. [1]
