Isamu was a peasant who jined the Spider Clan as member of the Order of the Spider.

Isamu was a peasant who was captured in the midst of a Moon-touched fit of insanity. He was recruited into the Order of the Spider and learned mental techniques to protect himself. His superior Tetsuo sent Isamu to the Colonies. [1]

Isamu was an earnest, stoic, and dour monk who assisted the Ministry of Ceremonies as a liaison point with his Order. In the Second City he labored for the mental control that would avert any future bout of madness. [1]
