Imperial City

The Imperial City is the capital of Rokugan and the castle of the Emperor. Throughout history there have been two Imperial Cities; Otosan Uchi and Toshi Ranbo wo Shien Shite Reigisaho.

[edit] Otosan Uchi

Otosan Uchi was the first imperial city, founded by the Kami Hantei in the First Century. For over a thousand years the city was the capital of Rokugan and home to the Imperial Line. In 1159 the capital was assaulted by a Shadowlands force led by Daigotsu. The city was so badly damaged that Lion Clan Champion Matsu Nimuro had it put to the torch. ^{[citation needed]}

[edit] Toshi Ranbo

For almost a year the Empire was without a capital until it was relocated to Toshi Ranbo wo Shien Shite Reigisaho. Toturi III was the first Emperor to take up residence in the new capital, and since then it grew in size considerably. ^{[citation needed]}
