Ikuto was one of the servants of the descendants of Shinsei.
Severed from the Empire Edit
Ikuto and his brothers lived in a secluded monastery where they hid from the eyes of Rokugan. Rosoku left the monastery and revealed himself to the Empire in 1165, issuing the Challenges of Enlightenment in an attempt to pass on the legacy of Shinsei in 1165. Shortly after the enemies of the prophet begam chasing him.
In 1166 Rosoku was murdered, and weeks later assassins appeared in the monastery. They tortured Ikuto in an attempt to learn how to use the Book of the Five Rings. The Jade Champion, Asahina Sekawa, appeared and killed the bloodspeakers, but Ikuto could tell only part of his story to Sekawa before he died from his wounds.
