Ikoma Kuniomi was the owner of the lands first attacked by Shimizu Tamayu in 827. The attack ended in disaster, but Tamayu turned to maho and summoned an oni. With Tamayu's forces strengthed by his use of the foul blood magics, Tamayu subjugated Kuniomi's lands. (Jade pp. 97-100)
