Ikoma Juichi was a writer who never had seen one of his works published. He was jealous of the success of Unari, a retired Crab who lived at Nishiyama Mura. In 1160 Juichi had spyed on the old monk's home, seeing how Unari had given a letter to a group of samurai. Juichi expected the letter was another tale of the great poet, and hired bandits to take the letter, but his plan was foiled. [1]
