Please note: This article is about the bridgekeeper. For other uses of the term, please see Ikeda (disambiguation).

Ikeda was a bridge-keeper who lived in a village near Kyuden Ukara. The forest where to his brige led had a portal to Gaki-do, but the heimin knew the light of lanterns would keep the gaki at bay, which trees were haunted, and to have a rice of ball, to throw to any of those hunger ghosts, who would become too busy eating it to chase them.
