House of Children was the place where the Naga youth were raised communally, by professional nurses and volunteers from the community, and educated by Naga Vedics. The biological parents had no further role in child-rearing. When a naga youth underwent his first molting, typically at age fourteen, he left the House of Children and was assigned to a Master of a profession for training. [1]
