The Hooded Ronin was the descendant of Shinsei who led the Seven Thunders to victory against Fu Leng on the Second Day of Thunder in 1128.

The conversation between Toturi and the Hooded Ronin in 1129 was written down by Isawa Osugi and named the New Tao. (3E p. 19)

The Hooded Ronin had a son, named Rosoku.[1]
[edit] Burning Sands
The teachings of Shinsei have reached far and wide. Shinsei's wisdom is taught in the Burning Sands, although he and his descendants are known by different names wherever they travel. In the Burning Sands, the Hooded Ronin is known as Duqaq.[2][1]
