Hiruma Koharu was a general of the Crab Clan.
Son[]
Koharu was stationed at Shiro Hiruma, where he raised his son Hiruma Tatsuya, who quickly showed his dislike for the traditional Hiruma tactics. Koharu sent him to Sunda Mizu Dojo, and began to think of his eldest child as an embarrassment to his line. [1]
Successor[]
The Hiruma Daimyo Hiruma Masagaro recalled Tatsuya back after several years, and appointed his son as his successor. The event allowed father and son to be reconciled, and Tasuya never dishonored Koharu's lessons since. When in 1156 the aged general was slain, his son took Tatsuya's place. [2]
