Hiruma Arawa was the personal attendant of the Emerald Magistrate Hiruma Usigo. Before Usigo retired to a monastery they attended the Asako winter court at Shiro Gisu in 1121, where Shiba Himitsu was murdered. His charge was poisoned during the investigation, and Arawa had disappeared shortly before. The corpse of the real Arawa was found, killed with a Garrote several hours before Usigo, so he had been impersonated by an assassin. [1]
