Hinotama were a complex amalgam of Water, Fire, and Air kami that occurred during the most tumultuous sea-storms. They were simple water creatures from Sakkaku, who became attracted to temporary portals that occurred during violent oceanic storms. Combining their water with the essences of Fire and Air it was created a playful but wicked spirit. [1]

Phenomena Edit

The hinotama were seen as balls of purple or blue light which drawn to metallic objects, especially the blades of samurai. Entire crews had sometimes dived overboard to escape the hinotama, which the spirits considered a great jest. The Thrane called them “Saint's Fire” and the Ivinda people of the Ivory Kingdoms called them the Phi Thale. [1]
