|Parents:||Un-named Kakeguchi Daimyo, |
|Siblings:||Several un-named brothers|
Haruto had been raised in the Imperial City Toshi Ranbo. His mother, a ronin consort, was not married to his father. He was the youngest of his father's sons, but eventually Haruto became the heir of his family when he was the only one still alive.
In 1198, two years past his gempukku, Haruto returned to Shiro Kakeguchi to become the new Kakeguchi Daimyo after the death of his father. Born in a generation who had not seen real attacks by the Shadowlands, and softened by a life far from their ancestors, Haruto was not concerned with the ancestral duty of the Crab, to keep the Empire protected against the Shadowlands.
Akano's Kanshi Edit
There had not been a true attack upon the Kaiu Wall in over two decades, and the threat of the taint had been defeated by the Empress Iweko I. Haruto arranged with the Scorpion Clan to transfer Kakeguchi soldiers from the Kaiu Wall to Scorpion waystations bordering the Shinomen Mori. He also would trade their jade stockpiles in exchange for influence, as no threat of involuntary corruption could happen. His karo Hida Akano appeared in the Sagiso Court arguing about the ancestral duty of the Crab. She showed her protest in a crude way, as she had committed kanshi before she entered the room. The Sagiso Court of Shiro Kakeguchi had not witnessed a Kanshi in over two-hundred years. Haruto reconsidered his initial decission, and his samurai remained in the Wall.
