People

Heichi Jomei was the leader of the Lair, from the second generation after the place was found and built by the original Heichi Jomei.

The Lair[]

Jomei was the leader of the Lair, the last and remote Boar stronghold after the destruction of his Clan two generations ago. At that time the original Heichi Jomei had decided to remain apart from the Empire to keep them safe from external dangers, forgotten by the rest of Rokugan. After the original Jomei died his son took leadership and his father's name, which became a tradition. [1]

Civil Conflict[]

His son Heichi Jurei worked hard to convince his father and the rest of the clan it was time for the Boar to return to the Empire. He had actually left the Lair once on a mission to obtain rare medicines, and had returned fascinated by the larger world of Rokugan. Violence erupted after an incident where one of the youngest samurai was killed by sentries when trying to escape. Jomei ended the civil conflict by killing his son in personal combat. [2]

Retirement[]

Jomei retired to the Lair's small monastery and named his closest lieutenant the new Jomei, leaving to him the task of rebuilding the Lair's forces. [2]
