Hebiki was a Falcon village near the Shinomen Mori which was harassed by Naga in 1122, so the villagers left it. A Falcon military force was defeated by the serpent-like creatures, so the village was abandoned. The Falcon attempted to get assistance from the Crab Clan sending a letter requesting aid from their cousins. The Crab were insulted by the descripition of the Naga as "escapees" from the Shadowlands, which put under question their ancestral duty as keepers of the southern Empire border. The Crab instead conquered the village and brought in their own heimin to work the fields. [1] [2]
