Heart Betrays Eyes was a Mastery 2 air spell which allowed the shugenja to make the next thing the victim saw that seemed unusual or out of the ordinary instead appeared completely normal to them. It was devised by the Soshi family to delay those who had stumbled upon the Scorpion Clan's machinations, or to cover their tracks. [1]
