The Great Hall of Records (L4) was built to maintain a record of all the Lion Clan's exploits. [1] It was the main holding of the Ikota province. [2]
Building[]
After Kyuden Ikoma was sacked in an assault by an invading Unicorn force, the Ikoma decided to keep a complete copy of their entire histories in another place. [3] The Ikoma Daimyo Ikoma Korin ordered to build the Great Hall of Records, and oversaw its construction until it was finished in 1170. It would serve not only a practical purpose but a symbolic one as well, to remind all who saw it of the Lion duty and its importance. [1] It was one of the most secure fortifications in all Lion lands. [4]
