Goju Utsuei

Goju Utsuei

Akodo Utsuei became the ronin Utsuei when the Akodo family was disbanded and fell to the Shadows as Goju Utsuei, a Ninja who served the Lying Darkness.

Ronin Edit

In 1123 the Emperor disbanded the Akodo family, as a punishment upon the dishonorable acts performed by the Lion Clan Champion Akodo Toturi during the Scorpion Coup. [1] Utsuei and many others Akodo Ronin moved to Nanashi Mura, the ronin village center of power of the Eyes of Nanashi, and joined them. [2]

Toturi's Army Edit

In 1127 the Eyes of Nanashi infiltrated Toturi's Army, with plans to assassinate the ronin Toturi should he ever be corrupted by his power. [3] Satisfied that Toturi had the best interests of the Empire in mind, they willingly joined Toturi, and its leader Takuan was granted the liutenant rank in his army. Utsuei and a group of Akodo Ronin left the Nanashi in disgust, blaming Toturi for their disgrace. [2]

Vanishment Edit

In 1128 Utsuei and the band of Akodo ronin moved near the ruins of Morikage Toshi. One week later, Utsuei and his followers vanished. [4]

Letter from Utsuei Edit

Utsuei eventually was consumed by the Shadows, becoming Goju Utsuei. [5] In 1133 Utsuei festered what he saw as the total victory of the Shadows. The Empire army had been lured at Volturnum where they were being decimated by the Goju and the minions of the Shadowlands. Otosan Uchi, the Imperial City, would fall to the Darkness in a true web of lies and deceit made by the awakened Great Sea Spider. Rokugan was assaulted by the Goju to corrupt the land of the Empire to the north. [6] It was proved Utsuei was wrong.
