Ginkgo

From L5r: Legend of the Five Rings

Ginkgo was the sensei of the Thousand Leaves Dojo and was a gunso of the Legion of the Two Thousand. She was not a pretty woman, but was a terrible warrior.

When she had her eldest son she founded her Dojo to train up the new recluits of the Legion But the Legion fragmented while the Winds fought over the Throne, and no one cared about it. Ginkgo continued with the Dojo and grew her two children: Asuza and Hoonoki. When she was killed during a skirmish with a group of bandits Hoonoki was chosen to be her successor as sensei of the dojo. [1]
