The Fire Eaters were one of the kajinin of Ryoko Owari. They "protected" south of the third pier down to the Wretched Gate and the Bridge of Drunken Lovers in the Fisherman Quarter. [1]

These firemen shaved their heads to keep from catching sparks in their hair, wore red scarves around their necks, which could quickly be pulled up to conceal identity. [2]

Fire Eaters were a highly corrupted gang who followed a code of retribution that demanded revenge for any insult and denial of any and all weakness. [3]
