Utaku Kimiono was a courtier of the Unicorn Clan.

Fear of Horses[]

Kimiono was born with a fear of horses, a very rare occurrence in the Utaku family. Deeply embarrassed, her family sent to the Ide Emissary school for training and focused their attention on their second daughter. The courtly ways fir with her sharp mind and superb awareness of the people around her. [1]

Advancement[]

Kimiono used the peaceful exterior of an Ide to mask her cold and bitter feelings for other people. She managed to advance her career through blackmail of those with dark pasts. Kimiono would ruin the life of any Utaku in her quest for vengeance. [2]

Colonies[]

Kimiono was fascinated by foreign cultures, and her clan called on her knowledge during the Destroyer War. During the Age of Conquest she accepted a lesser position within the Unicorn delegation in the Second City, under the command of Shinjo Izanagi. Kimiono was instrumental in weakening the Lion Clan's standing after the death of the Imperial Governor of the Colonies Ikoma Katsuru. [2]

Siege of the Second City[]

Kimiono's life before her appointment to the Colonies had been wracked with the curse of war. During the Siege of the Second City she had joined a plot within the Imperial District to thwart the defense of the Second City. Eventullay Kimiono regreted her actions and exposed the plan to the Ivory Champion Shinjo Tselu. There was a coalition of delegates of several clans, Crane, Lion, Phoenix, Crab nd Unicorn, seeking to cause a breach to one of the gates, hoping to cause further damage to the wall, joining with the Ninth Imperial Legion. [3]

Ivory Court[]

After the city fell to the Imperials, the Kuni Daimyo Kuni Renyu was appointed interim governor by the Ninth Legion leader, Shinjo Kinto. Few days later the Empress's second son Iweko Shibatsu took the post for himself. Kimiono was the first courtier who turned on to serve him. [4]
