Arjuna Singh utilized Gidayu's resources to create herbal concoctions that did not cure the plague, but alleviated the symptoms. The mortality rate in this outbreak was remarkably low. [1]

Travel to the Ruined Kingdoms[]

Gidayu was a member of a Mantis expedition with Moshi Kalani to the Ivory Kingdoms during the Destroyer War. He expended the whole of his personal wealth to accept this duty, seeing the journey as the chance of a lifetime. They found Anshu, a child they quickly deduced was the previously unknown gaijin son of Yoritomo Aramasu. [2] The cities of the Kingdoms were found ruined and no one survivor appeared. Gidayu organized his men into long range scouting patrols. [3]

They found the remnants of the inhabitants of the area inside a chasm. It was filled up with bodies and dirt had been dumped over all of it, making a mass grave of tens of thousands corpses. All of them had been sacrificed in a ritual. Three cuts had been made, one in the right side, another in the throat, and the last in the heart. Gidayu's demeanor was affected by this nightmarish visions. The Mantis of the lost patrol were not found. [4] Kalani sent him and Arishia to clean the area from cultists. [5]

Exploring[]

In 1173 Kalani was preparing his return to report the Mantis Clan Champion Yoritomo Naizen. A marine creature had been harassing the Mantis fleet, and destroyed several ships. The monster became mad to those who saw it directly, so Kalani used Komori's aid to kill it. The Bat Clan Champion guided Kalani seeing the monster through the eyes of a bird. After the creature was death, Gidayu told he had fired arrows to aid his lord, but blindfolded. [6]
