Shiba Heirai was a bushi and yojimbo of the Phoenix Clan.

Heirai discovered an ancestor's journal, written after these ancestors joined the Brotherhood of Shinsei, which recounted the essential facts of the Fudo movement and the reasons for its separation from the Brotherhood. [1] He decided to keep this information within the clan. [2]
