Sanjuro was a kolat informant during the War Against the Shadow.

Sanjuro was spying Toturi I with the Oni's Eye when the Emperor was hidden by the Oracle of the Void, Isawa Kaede, in Phoenix lands. [1] He saw how Sanzo sneaked inside the emperor's chamber and stabbed him in the chest with the bloodsword Ambition. [2]
