Passion, also known as Jonetsu, was the second of the four Bloodswords [1] forged by Asahina Yajinden in 508 on the Anvil of Despair. They were made at the bidding of his master Iuchiban, and they were given to four of the Clan Champions at the time. [2]

Abilities[]

The wielder perceived the person coming between him and that which he desired as a threat. [3]

Doji Tanaka[]

Passion was given to the Crane Clan Champion Doji Tanaka who, in 510, after he butchered his entire family, abruptly confessed his love for an eleven year old geisha to his assembled court and then leapt to his death off the cliffs of Kyuden Doji. He carried Passion with him. [2] [3]

Return ?[]

The sword was never retrieved, although when Doji Kurohito began wielding Chukandomo (which had been found on the Crane shore), Asahina Sekawa was concerned that it could in fact be Jonetsu. Sekawa's examination of Kurohito's soul proved to him that the Crane daimyo was no pawn of Passion.[4]
