Mirumoto Utsuro was a bushi of the Dragon Clan.
Training[]
Utsuro was sent to train with the Unicorn Clan at an early age. He excelled in his studies, and became somewhat of a legend among the Unicorn. During his time there he fell in love with a beautiful maiden Shinjo Kiku, and because of his faithful service he was granted her hand in marriage. [1]
Family's blade[]
Utsuro had great reverence to his father, and when he passed away teh family's daisho was placed in a shrine, with clear instructions that none shall touch it upon pain of death. [1]
Kiku's death[]
Bandits attacked Utsuro's estate when he was away, and Kiku disobeyed her husband, taking the blades to safety. Utsuro found his wife dead, after she committed seppuku for violation her husband's wishes. Alongside the corpse were a letter asking forgiveness, a haiku, and an explanation of the acts which driven to her death. [1]
Nemuranai[]
The daisho was awakened with the spirit of Kiku, and warned of the nearby presence of any Shadowlands creature. Each time it was used, Utsuro went into deep mind-slumber fighting like a beast himself. [1]
