Gakochun was a goblin of the Shadowlands.

When Daigotsu came with a more powerful race of bakemono from the southern Shadowlands, a Goblin Wizard that sought to empower his brethren with kansen was with the Dark Lord. His magic was powerful enough to pull a goblin hero's soul out of Jigoku, Orschat, the Goblin Warmonger, who guided Gakochun to become a new hero of their race. [1]
