Doji Naruto was a diplomat of the Crane Clan who became a ronin.

Naruto was a follower of Kakita Kichi. In the Imperial Court the jester Kakita Yuchihito slandered about a supposed relation between Naruto and his Lord's wife. Yuchihito used maho to provoke an outburst on Naruto, who wakizashi in hand claimed his secret uncovered, despite Naruto had never met the woman. He was outcast and his Lord's wife was allowed to commit heigai. [1]
Aftermath[]
Akodo Yuzo was furious at his daughter's death, and marshalled his forces near Kichi's lands, who called the Daidoji army on his favor. Naruto had been goaded by Yuchihito's kansen to create this petty war. [2]
