Doji Isamu was a diplomat of the Crane Clan. He had a sister, Doji Nabureko. [1]
Otosan Uchi[]
Isamu was appointed as advisor to Toyotomi district's governor, Shiba Toyotomi. In 1122 he was sent to meet another District Governor, the young Shosuro Meiyoko, to discuss diplomatic relations. They began a closer relationship. [2]
Spy[]
When the predecesor of Toyotomi was dismissed Isamu was the only part of his staff who remained. The Crane sponsored Isamu to leak information. [3]
Scorpion Coup[]
Meiyoko was unaware of the Scorpion Coup devised by her clan, and the district was handled to Bayushi Shoju by Bayushi Yashino. She was convinced to be quiet by the chief advisor of the Tsai district, Bayushi Komei. In the fifth day she foresaw the demise of the Coup and her clan, so Meiyoko and Mamoru escaped toward the Maze of Wisdom, where they encountered Yashino. Meiyoko's life was saved by the appearance of Isamu, who struck down Yashino. They fled, never to return to Otosan Uchi. [4]

Meiyoko had only been once since near the Dragon mountains, [5] most probably with Isamu.
