Bayushi Kindebu was a bushi and a courtier of the Scorpion Clan.
Demeanor[]
Kindebu was considered a a foolish stalking horse deliberately introduced by the Scorpion Clan to lull the rest of the court into complacency. [1]
Imperial Court[]
Kindebu was appointed to the Imperial Court. In 1171 he began a heated discussion with Ikoma Ryudo, followed by harsh words toward Asahina Beniha. The Asahina Daimyo attracted the attention of the Imperial Chancellor Bayushi Hisoka when word that the Scorpion had had a border incident with the Crane, breaking an Empress Imperial Edict. Hisoka stopped Kindebu's attitude and took him to a private meeting to reprimand him. [1]
Death[]
In 1172 Beniha visited Shosuro Mizuno at the Embassy of the Scorpion. Kindebu saw her yojimbo Kakita Hideshi had immediately become ill when he crossed the embassy threshold. The Kakita had felt the defensive wards agains taint. He later met Hideshi and menaced to inform he was tainted and offered his silence if Hideshi spied on his charge. The Crane called Gaki from the Talisman of Gaki-do he wielded and Kindebu was murdered by the ever hungry spirits. [2]
