Asako Okazara
Asako Okazara was a minor nobleman of the Phoenix Clan. He attempted to flee when he was suspected of forgery, punishable by death, but he was stopped by a Phoenix magistrate who cast Essence of Void on Okazara. His mind could not handle what the spell forced upon him and he closed down. Okazara was unable to move at all, wandering in the spaces between all things while his body remained frozen within the confines of the spell. The Asako felt he was innocent, and requested a group of samurai to revive him, so he might speak and call forth witnesses. Eventually the group managed to reintroduce him to the other four “tangible” elements by immersing his body within them. Okazara was acquitted after bringing forth old writing teachers and others whom he had held correspondence with, who could testify to his mediocre calligraphy, so he could not perform a proper forgery.
