Doji Mizobu was the Crane Clan Champion during the reign of Hantei Fujiwa, and was often seen as a temperamental and foolish man. The Emperor watched him carefully to try to find his weakness not to get to Mizobu himself but at his son, Doji Raigu, and heir who was a member of the gozoku. He believed this weakness was Mizobu's paranoia of the Yasuki family but all of his plans failed when open war begun between the Crab Clan and the Crane Clan. [1]
Winter Court - 375[]
In 375 the Emperor had condemned the Crane and Lion Clan for failing to support the Crab against the common foe of the Shadowlands. Mizobu shamed himself with his open fury over the Emperor's policies at the Imperial Winter Court. [2]
First Yasuki War[]
In 385 the dishonorable methods of the Yasuki outraged Mizobu. In a rift with the Crab over th Kenkai Hanto Peninsula in 386 would escalate in open war when in 837 the Yasuki abandoned the Crane for the Crab, the beginning of the Crane-Crab War. [3]
Death[]
In 391 Mizobu died and his son Raigu became the Crane Champion. [4]
